Learning About The Wonder
Yesterday(29th July 2020) we were learning about the wonder project. These 2 people called Gustavo and Troy came in to talk about and their job  they also told us how they made a new breed of kiwifruit and it is called the red kiwifruit and what they were interested in is playing video games, dancing and reading. When we started to work, we had to copy a doc and then there was heaps of jobs on another doc and we had to choose 2 jobs that interest us also they all had something to do with a rocket ship, the ones I chose was the test-pilot and astronaut. Have you ever done the wonder project?

Memory in Te Reo Maori
Yesterday we were learning how to read in Maori it was really fun because we got to read a big book in Maori. We got to play memory in Maori . We made these memory cards by cutting pieces of paper out and then we had to practice reading the word and then we played memory. In memory we had to say kia rite or rite tonu ,kia rite and rite tonu mean the same thing or equal . Before you pick up the cards and then if you got a match you have to say the name of the card you picked up. It would have the name of the word on it so it would be easier. How long do you think it took for me and my friend to cut out the cards?

Making a Portable DrawBridge

Making a Portable DrawBridge

In Te Ngahere we are making a drawbridge for a trickshot challenge.
In class we’ve been making the drawbridge for 1 and a half
weeks and we only have 3 days to finish it. To me the
hardest part is the measuring the angles and placing the
popsicle sticks in the right places. My mates and me are
only on the base of the drawbridge. We are making the
circuit so we can add the drawbridge and make a course
to run our ping pong ball on. No one is finished but I think everyone else’s in the class are really good.
When we are finished we have to make a circuit,
which is a small track that starts in one place then ends
in the same place and then its finished. Have you ever made
anything with popsicle sticks?
Here are some photos of the drawbridges.
